Sons Of The Desert

Sons Of The Desert è una band country music formata nel 1989 a Waco, Texas. La band è composta da Drew Womack (voce), Tim Womack (chitarra e voce), Doug Virden (chitarra e voce) e Scott Saunders (batteria).

Il gruppo ha debuttato nel 1997 con l'album Whatever Comes First, che ha ottenuto un discreto successo commerciale grazie ai singoli "Hand of Fate" e "Leaving October". Nel 1999 hanno pubblicato il loro secondo album, Change, che ha visto la collaborazione con artisti come Vince Gill e Alison Krauss.

Curiosità: il nome della band è ispirato al film del 1933 "Sons of the Desert" con Stan Laurel e Oliver Hardy. La band ha ottenuto una nomination ai Grammy Awards nel 2000 per la miglior performance country di un duo o gruppo vocale.
