Flotsam And Jetsam

Flotsam and Jetsam è una band thrash metal formata a Phoenix, Arizona nel 1981. Il gruppo è stato fondato da Mark Vasquez, Kevin Horton, Jason Newsted, Michael Gilbert e Kelly David-Smith. Il nome della band deriva da un termine marinaresco che indica i detriti che galleggiano in mare.

Dopo alcuni cambiamenti nella formazione, nel 1986 la band ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto intitolato Doomsday for the Deceiver, che è stato molto apprezzato dalla critica e ha contribuito a consolidare la reputazione della band nel panorama del thrash metal.
